About the REGIONAL FIELD TECHNICIAN : Detroit, MIThe Field Technician will be based in the Detroit, MI area and will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all security/CCTV equipment systems installed at Iverify's client sites in the surrounding areas. The Field Technician provides field side support and will be responsible for programming the equipment to ensure proper functionality of system components, and accurately tracking all billable time. Key Task and Responsibilities• Manages installation planning and product deployment of security systems for Iverify's clients.• Reviews all incoming client service tickets for accuracy and coordinates next steps with internal employees and departments• Provides remote phone support to other field installers and service technicians at client sites regarding system and equipment installations, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance• Identifies potential service issues and recommends work to be performed and parts that need service or upgrading• Consults with clients to assess risks and to determine security requirements as needed• Evaluates equipment needed for upgrades and renovations, prepares plans and estimates for any necessary modifications or additions.• Participates in the sale, research, development, and selection of equipment for new installations• Works closely with management team to maintain superb client relationships• Train, oversee, and coordinate regional approved Iverify sub contractors Requirements• This position requires a high school degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years experience in the installation and servicing of commercial security systems.• Ability to travel to client sites located in Detroit, MI and surrounding areas Knowledge of National Electric Code and working knowledge of basic electronic component • Previous experience working hands on and remotely with video, audio, fire and burglar alarm equipment as well as access control systems is a MUST• Basic practical understanding of computer functions and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications• Ability to read and comprehend complex blue prints, schematic drawings, and electrical plans• Must be Professional and have exceptional Customer service skills• Demonstrated ability to be an analytical thinker and act as an expert and knowledgeably address service and installation matters with clients• Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, time management, organizational and decision making skills with the ability to manage projects and follow-thru to completion• Ability to thrive, excel, and adapt in an fast pace ever changing team oriented environment,as well as work independently • Must be available after hours, on weekends and holidays to respond to a client incident or other situations.• Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving record• Ability to be registered as an employee under Iverify's Burglar Alarm Business, North Carolina Private Protective Services• Ability to pass required drug and alcohol testing.• Must possess and maintain a clear and free of incident criminal history.*******No Relocation will be provided for this position. Must be locally based in the Detroit, MI surrounding areas.Preferred:• Associates or Bachelor's degree• Knowledge of Rapideye, MAStermind, CCTV equipment, various alarm panels and audio equipment systems.
