Entirely new menu to complement the BBQ program. Join one of the largest culinary teams in Michigan. We are a high-profile operation with a very busy retail customer base, and a major catering operation. Bring us your creativity, strong recipes, and sales ideas. Responsibilities: • Pit Master - Bring us your BBQ culinary talents and demonstrated business acumen. • Run a "business inside a business," with a captive customer base and tremendous upside growth potential. • Assist in proving out menu, food quality and consistency. • Manage food prep and sales staff for the complete BBQ menu • Collaborate with Hot-Foods-to-Go, Catering, and Deli Management personnel. • Manage 2-shift, 7-day department. • Report to Holiday Market's Executive Chef. EXPERIENCE:1. 5-7 years experience overseeing BBQ food development, creation, and preparation. Supervisory experience. 2. Restaurant, hotel, or speciality-market experience required. 3. Experienced working in a shared-kitchen space. 4. Solid team skills, working with other food-creation managers and their staffs. 5. Documented track record of generating revenue with your food oversight and creation. 6. Combination of formal training, hands-on, and various food-related certifications preferred. 7. Must have experience working for an independent, 1 or 2 owner business, in ADDITION to working for large, corporate restaurant operations. Salary commensurate with experience.
