HOLIDAY MARKET - ROYAL OAK, a large, upscale, retail bakery in metro Detroit, seeks to hire a Bakery Manager to lead its staff of 50. The perfect candidate will have strong knowledge of day-to-day operations of managing a Bakery. A knowledge of artisan breads, pies, decorated cakes, pastries and other Bakery items a plus; however, a proven track record of managing a large staff is mandatory. EXPERIENCE: You must have the following experience to be considered:1. Ability to produce for retail and catered business channels. 2. Documented track record managing a staff of 30-plus employees. 3. Experience with 2-shift, 7-day operation. 4. P&L responsibility. 5. Experience with combo scratch/bake-off operations, including high-end cakes. This is not a donut operation. 6. Top-notch record of managing leaders and supervisors, and motivating a staff.Bring your ability to motivate and engage employees, and to strengthen department processes and procedures. We need a dynamic leader who is capable of giving focus not only to the back-end operation but also to our front-end staff. Base salary, commensurate with experience, and quarterly bonus.
